So, my family has 3 cats, 2 females and a male. They get along generally pretty well, and the male, whiskers, who's also the oldest, is the top cat, for lack of a better word. He has highest priority over spots to lie down and stuff, and the other cats move for him if he approaches.
He's always had some issues with peeing outside the litter box, specifically in our dining room, although he did occasionally pee in laundry baskets and often on fabric things lying on the floor. For a while, he was peeing there without anyone realizing, and as soon as we did, we cleaned the area, put tinfoil down and got felaway or however you spell it to help him not pee there. He peed again on the tinfoil today, and my parents said they'd try another few things, and put him down if he doesn't stop. I want to know what I can do to keep him and help him not do this as an alternative to peeing on the carpet. I'm 17 by the way.
Thank you for help in advance, and if there's any info I left out, please let me know. I just don't want to lose him.
