We took two of our male cats to get neutered at the same time (we know now that you’re not supposed to do that, the vet failed to tell us that at the time), our cats now won’t stop fighting! They used to get along just fine, we got them around the same time as each other and we would put them in our “cat room” at night together for over a year and they were perfectly fine together. They were fixed ten days ago and at first they seemed fine and then within 24 hours our youngest cat started going after our other cat and it got very vicious very fast. We have tried everything from keeping them separated and doing a slow reintroduction to scent transfers to calming collars and sprays! NOTHING WORKS!! This last fight was just about an hour ago and was the worst one by far, we thought our youngest cat was calmer after putting the calming collar on him two days ago so we let them back in the same room together and we were keeping a close on on them and everything seemed fine then our youngest cat went after our other cat and chased him around the house while they were both screaming and growling and hissing at each other, the fight ended with our youngest cat getting his paw bandaged and the other falling off a shelf before I could pull them apart. Thankfully both of them are alright. This is not play fighting! I’ve seen them and my other cats play fight and that is not what this is! They are currently being separated again and I don’t want to let them near each other again until I figure out what is happening and what I else I can try to fix it. Please let me know if you’ve had a problem like this or if you know what else I could do to fix this problem. Thank you all in advance.
