🐺 NEED ADVICE 🐺
I'm sorry if this is super long and rambled, but I want to give as much info and context as I can! I'm also on mobile, so I'm sorry if the lay out is a mess.
I have an 8 year old Siberian husky named Myah, who has never been aggressive in nature. But she is also a rescue pupper and a bit of a madam with the 'tude .. Not too long ago (roughly 3months ago, nearly 4) I had 2 friends move in 1 month apart and they each brought a dog with them, a less than 1 year old kelpie X & a 2 year old mini border collie. My husky didnt have much of an issue, the kelpie did get in her face a bit as she's super affectionate and young, but Myah would put her in her place and set her boundaries and I would stop those two bothering Myah because whilst they have to sort out the alpha, sometimes they wouldn't get the picture and I wanted Myah to still feel safe and have her space. The did sort it our quick and we seemed to be good to go. I've never had any issues giving her treats or food like pigs ears or bones, I could stroke her face when she's eating and she's never had an issue. Until the last week or 2... I gave her a pigs ear and I can usually fluff her up and give it to get and she's chirpy, Ive even been able to give her a good-girl pat when she's eating them in the past. But I gave her one last week (all 3 dogs had one, so no jealousy issues) and then when I went to check on her a few minutes later, she dropped down and started aggressively growling at me when I walked too close. I was like "ok"... Then yesterday, we got all 3 of them a marrow bone each and there seemed to be no issue. I went out a few moments later to check on her and again, she started growling at me and I'm like of what is your deal girlfriend!? Cut to later that night, she's taken literally all 3 bones, buried them (shed never done that before) gone after the mini BC when she came to pee on the grass, then growled at me and went to bite me when I walked over and then afyer i went to take the bones off her. Even tonight when I walked out with the food bowls to feed them, she went at the mini BC AGAIN,when the bowls weren't even put down yet..
Can anyone tell me what's happening? I had 2 rescue huskies for a while and did not have these issues (including Myah) so I'm unsure why she's suddenly starting this now... Any help would be so appreciated, I have a 4 year old daughter too and Myahs behavior is starting to stress me. (I've explained to my daughter never to touch the dogs while they're eating in case of any issues) 🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻
