A question about appropriate pets for my living conditions.

To expand on the title, I currently live in a grannyflat apartment (kitchen, bathroom and living/bedroom) and I'm interested in getting a pet, mostly for companionship. The problem is, I don't really know what are good options for my current living conditions. I have past experiences with only cats and dogs.

One major problem is I'm a musician who practices on an acoustic drumkit daily for upwards of 2 hours, and I'm not sure how sound (or vibrations) at that decibel range will affect many different species of animal, especially if they have no options of moving away from the noise.

I also live in rural bushland in Australia, so outside has many deadly snakes, so an indoor pet is a must.

I've considered adopting a deaf cat or dog from a shelter, but I have no idea how they would react to heavy vibrations. Beyond that, I would like to explore rats and bearded dragons/lizards, but I'm not sure if they would be suitable in my environment. I have no interest in fish or amphibians because I want a pet I can physically handle.

So basically I'm asking for any advice in relation to suitable pet options or practices. Thank you.
