sorry if this isnt formatted the best since im on mobile but ill try to keep it brief! i recently adopted a 9 week old kitten, percy. my older cat, bella (about 9 years) is obviously not very fond of him quite yet which i expected! its only been two days and i know she'll come around even if it takes a while. our arrangement is that percy stays in my room and bella has my cousins room (theyre not in these rooms all the time!! just to sleep/let percy explore), but bella is basically my baby and sleeps with me in my bed almost every night. since she cant for now because of percy im just...really afraid shes going to grow to prefer my cousin over me and wont want anything to do with me once her and percy are able to coexist. i feel like its stupid to think my cat of nine years wont like me anymore, but...im seriously nervous.
i still make sure to play/cuddle bella when shes out and about !! im not ignoring her for percy at all, but we're definitely spending less time together since bella is a veeeery lazy cat and she spends most of her time sleeping 😴
