So I have a medium sized dog who is 11 years old and my girlfriend has a much larger dog who is 5. I have never been allergic to my dog since he was just a puppy but ever since like two years ago I will get hives on my arms and hands if I start to play with the dogs or the dogs are on me when they’re excited and hyper. But those are the only instances I will get hives, if I’m just petting them or laying with them or hugging them I’m fine. It’s only when we’re playing or they’re excited and the hives aren’t too severe they’re a little itchy but go away after 30 minutes to an hour. So any explanations?
