My cat is about 9 months old. I've had her for about 3 months now. About once a month, she will poop almost entirely in the litter box. She will then exit the box and leave one little dropping on the floor which she spends the next few minutes trying to bury it until I notice and clean it up. I took her to the vet last week and they said everything seems normal with her but I noticed this behavior again this morning. Any ideas why this is happening? The thing baffling me is that it's such a small amount at the end of her movement! I am a bit of an obsessive cleaner so I clean the box at least 2-3 times a day, if not more. I keep about 3 inches of unscented litter in there and clean and change it every other week. It's in a pretty low traffic area as well.
