I was planning on getting a pet, and all the people I work with told me that anyone who buys instead of adopting is a horrible person. I’m planning on adopting as well. I did notice, however, that all my coworkers have huskies and German shepherds that definitely look purebred. There is no way that 90% of the people at work somehow just happened to stumble upon a burr red husky or a German Shepherd. So I’m starting to wonder if they’re even telling the truth
