I've had my 2 cats for about 10 months now, and since we recently moved into a house with a backyard and space we wanted to get a dog. there's a lot of dogs walking around the neighborhood and recently this 1 dog keeps coming back to our backyard and stays there all day, usually keep him outside but today i felt bad and let him in my room while my cats are walking around the house (they don't really like him). how can i get my cats to be around a dog without being extremely aggressive or scared? I'm trying to get them familiar with this dog so I can get a dog that's actually mine and will live with us. They usually just keep their distance, hiss at him and all that. How can i get them to understand that he's friendly and just wants to play?
