My cat has got a lot of ring brown flecks in her fur, on the ends and at the root / skin. It certainly looks like flea dirt and she has had a topical flea treatment. She has also been brushed with a flea comb quite a bit.
She hasn’t been scratching more than normal and we haven’t seen any actual fleas, either from the combing or from parting her fur. We haven’t been able to properly check her belly, but we’ve been keeping an eye out when she lets us look.
I know this doesn’t mean it’s not fleas, but what else could it be? She’ll keep receiving flea treatments every month for a while anyway
