Help! Cat won't come inside after getting a new puppy!

So it's only day 2, and I love Frankie my new puppy so much, she is behaving fantastic already....

Now the bitter to go with the sweet. Kit kat won't come inside and has been in the garden or local area only. She has kept coming back to us but won't come inside.

I haven't introduced the cat and dog as yet, kit kat reaction is purely based on scent and sound.

Is there any easy way to rectify this or is it going to take time.

Frankie is in a crate and play pen downstairs and kit kat has full roam. She is normally such a loving kitty.

She hasn't been inside for about 32 hours now.

Do I just need to wait it out?

Kit kat was rescued by my house mate and we both love her, she mainly sleeps with me.

Frankie is a border collie and 8 weeks old, doesn't seem fussed with the new environment at all. I feel really guilty but at the same time I've not even introduced them so what can I do more?

Edit: I should add that I love them equally and not wanting to re-home either of them

Edit2: there is a slight possibility kit kat could have seen frankie through the door to kitchen as she's been outside
