I recently got a new hamster and my cat came in the room not knowing she was here. He became very interested in her and is now led on my bed staring at her. He won't listen to me or even look at me. I know he won't be able to get to her since the bars are too close to let his paw through, but I'm scared he'll jump on the cage and frighten her since she's new here and trying to get used to her new home. I've tried picking him up but as soon as I put my hands under him he cries at me. Am I being too soft with him? What should I do?
