In need of some advice about moving cats

I recently moved out of my parents house and am in serious doubt about whether I should move my cat along with me or not. Me and my sister got our cats about seven years ago as kittens. They are siblings and have always lived together in the same house. They don't know anything else. They have occasional fights, but nothing bad and at the end of the day they always appreciate each other's company. I live my cat a lot and I would really like to move him with me, but his well-being is more important. There would be some drastic changes for him if he were to move in with me. The space is a lot smaller. The would not have his sibling for company anymore. And he would be alone a large part of the day, since I work full-time. He always has people around him right now. He really likes being around people. I know he loves me and he is always extremely happy when I am home, but I don't want to completely derail him by moving him to an unfamiliar place. Does anyone have experience with this kind of situation? I could use someone else's insight. Would it be damaging for him to try it out and move him back if it doesn't work out? Leaving him at my parents house is a viable option but he is my cat and I would really like to have him live with me.
