This isn’t really an interesting post and I was a bit unsure which subreddit to post this on so my apologies!
I recently got a hamster as a pet for the first time. He’s a small little dude named Finn.
I took Finn out for a little bit and when I picked him up to put him back in his cage he jumped from my hands and fell onto the floor below. It was in no way soft and there was an audible thud sound. He lay on his back for a little bit before getting up and scurrying away
I feel so horrible and guilty! I put him back in his cage and he seems to be doing fine for the moment but I keep checking on him wondering if he broke any bones or anything
He went into his little house and seems to be sleeping whereas he was active before?
I checked online and so far he doesn’t have any indications of being injured
Is he going to be okay? Should I do something more?
