I got this free hamster from a freind of mine. She was the original owner and said she didn't want it because it didn't bond with her like the last one did. I made the mistake of petting and handling it before realising I wanted to try to tame it so Idk if it's too late too even do that or not. At first we put it in a 10 gallon tank (I know that's too small) and she started trying to climb the sides thinking she can get out. Since I knew it was too small of a tank I decided to get a tout for it (this was today btw). It's bigger than the fish tank and she's still acting crazy. Maybe she just has to settle in? Idk. Here are some things she does that concern me. I'm honestly worried she might have anxiety or depression or something.
-tries to climb things (water feeder, hamster wheel, etc.) To get out of at the top of the bin.
-When she fails to get out of the bin or is too tired to try anymore she lays in the bed that she made and sleeps.

This morning when I was still asleep (she still had the aquarium) she was chewing on the bottom side of it and it woke me up. I tried to get her to stop but then she started spazzing out again trying to get out. I tried to let her sniff my hand and then she did, but then afterwards bit my fingers (not hard enough to draw blood and tbh she didn't seem hostile maybe she just thought I was food?) Later today I had to put disinfectant ointment on them. Even now they still feel sore.

the only method that typically calms her down is playing jazz music but sometimes that doesn't even work.
-she grooms in front of me and stuff (that's a sign of contentment I heard) and one time I even saw her collecting some toilet paper that I put in there and using it as bedding. I even fed her some dry Krispy rice out of the palm of my hand and a peice of banana. So she seemed fine before?
Ppl keep telling me that it's because we keep moving her into different cages and stuff and she needs some time to adjust. I need advice on how to tame or even if I can tame her after I've already touched her. This is my first time handling a hamster so I already know I screwed up a lot in just wandering if she's even gonna warm up to me or if there's something wrong with her.
