Back in April, we had a case of the fleas. We treated the house, treated her, did all the necessary steps and we've been checking her every day for fleas since. We haven't seen any flea dirt or fleas on her since May. We've taken her to one vet twice, both times said our cat looks great, nothing on her no flea dirt or anything, she's probably just itchy. We got irritated that she was itching so much with no answers, we went to a different vet the first week of July. The new vet noticed her losing some hair around her belly and hind leg areas, but other than that "she looks great!"
And every time, they tell me that fleas take forever to get rid of and their life cycle. However, my cat has not stopped itching aggressively around her neck area and she's been overgrooming around her front paws now too.
I feel like it's possible that she might be allergic to some flea saliva or something obviously irritating her, but the vets haven't given me any medication or treatment.
We haven't tried new foods, she's been on the same food for the past 4 years. And I moved back in March but she overall seems happier and more comfortable here, so I truly don't know what could be causing her so much discomfortable.
I'm truly at my wits end trying to figure out what's bothering her. Any advice would be so helpful!!
