I got a kitten about 5 days ago and have been keeping him in a separate room as I have another cat as well. I’ve started taking him into my room and have left his room open. I’ve seen my cat go into his room and she peed on the floor there before. Today I found pee on the litter mat but I don’t know if it was from him or her. Either way could either be doing it from stress? Or could it be the kitten is doing it simply because he missed? He had been peeing in the box fine so I’m not sure what could be the exact cause for him but if it’s stress from either what can I do to help them?
