I'm torturing my cat.

She has a jaw infection and I'm supposed to give her 2.5 mls of Clindamycin twice a day. Its SUPER bitter (like revoltingly so) and she will not eat it in food. So I'm holding her in place, as she cries and struggles, having to put a little at a time so she will swallow.

THIS IS MISERABLE.

She hates it, I hate it. It maybe wouldn't be so terrible if it wasn't the sheer volume.. if I go more than 0.3 ml at a time she ends up spitting some out. So it turns into this prolonged period of: force some in, pet and apologize, force more in, cry and apologize.. etc.

I'm here BEGGING for any alternatives? I told my vet (before this was even prescribed) that putting it in food was a no-go. It's crazy to me that this is the only option left.

I will happily pay more for a different way to administer needed antibiotics.

Injections? Pills?

Thanks for reading.. any advice is welcome and appreciated.
