Hi everybody, I’m a first time owner and have had Lizzie for awhile and have had no health issues for about two years now. She’s always been a large girl with a healthy, plump tail and an energetic hunter. I’ve always tong fed her mealworms (never was interested in crickets) and had no problems otherwise. Quick note that I took her in from a family who could not take care of her anymore, so I don’t have any previous health information regarding genetics, morphs, ect. All I know is that she is an adult. After awhile she stopped eating. She had no interest whatsoever. I was nervous at first but I knew that sometimes they can be finicky and maybe she was going off feed for awhile. I switched up her food but she was still not interested. As time went on, she was a healthy weight so I wasn’t worried. However, it’s been a few months now and she is looking very frail and it seems like she has trouble seeing, as she is generally unresponsive to motion and bumps into walls (poor girl). I’ve also noticed some discharge in her eyes so I’m guessing she may have an eye infection. I’ve tried everything I could and I am bringing her to the vet as soon as I can, but with the virus I’m not sure how long it will take, as there are few reptile vets in my area. I need some advice on what I should do in the meantime to help her out however I can. Thank you in advance for reading!!
