So, I (35m) just bought a brand spanking new Blu nose Pitbull puppy and he is currently going through the teething/biting stage in his development. Now, the thing is, Chief (my pit) will nibble on my hands and fingers but will back off when I use my stern voice and tell him " Nice! " When he bites a little too hard. What I am writing about today is that my wife (29f) also gets the nibble and biting when she tries to play with him but he WONT back off when SHE tells him "nice!". Why is it that he will respect my commands but not my wife's? She does all the same things I do, congratulate/"go boy"/tons of pets when he does good, but sometimes he is like an on/off switch when it comes to the respect levels when it comes to commands. What can she do to help his behaviors and comfort levels between these two?
