I have one small dog (approximately 10 lbs full grown) and I'm interested in adopting one or two kittens to keep him company. With the goal of the dog and the cat(s) befriending one another and playing together, would it be better to adopt one or two kittens? If two kittens, would they mostly play with each other and stay away from the dog? Or would it allow strength in numbers for the cats and be more fun for all three? A related question: The dog is a male. Would it matter if the kittens were male or female? How might the sex of the kittens impact the overall dynamic?
