Our cat escaped into the street, she is always indoors and gets scared of everything, what can we do?

Hello

Today we lost our cat in the afternoon, she is a calico cat that looks like an Abyssinian cat, we have gotten her into a cage for her vet visit in the car but unfortunately she escaped into the streets, she was a house away from our house but when they tried to catch her she escaped more and disappeared.

The problem is that she is always indoors and she gets scared of everything even at home, we can't even catch her or make her come our way, when she gets scared she tend to escape or run aimlessly without thinking, she also doesn't recognize her name, we've tried to introduce her to the yard or the roof but she gets too scared and stays at the entrance so It's unlikely she'll recognize the way back home.

We began searching for her immediately in the afternoon today (it's now 3:30 a.m) we've looked for her everywhere in the same route she escaped to, unfortunately we don't know our neighbors but we asked the stores close by to contact us if they find her, we looked for her again at 4p.m at the same places, we also looked under the cars, and we looked again at 9 p.m and now at 3 a.m.

We've also put her litter-box outside along with water and dry food, we put a small box with a cloth and a stuffed animal she used to sleep with beside the entrance, when we looked we used a toy ball with a sound that she almost always comes to whenever she hears it since it has treat inside it. We also posted to our in social media to ask the people they know living nearby or share her photo.

I know that a lot of lost cats return back home/ are found around the house but I think that might not be the case since she is different from other cats, she was a stray cat that we've found one year ago when she was about 3 months old with a big wound on her belly but now she is completely healthy.

She is living with three other cats indoors so would it be a good idea to take one of them outside with us in case she recognizes their sound or smell? She also loves food more than anything so we thought of putting food outside for her but we think other cats might eat it since the neighborhood is filled with tons of cats.

Is there anything else we can do? Do you think there is a good chance of her coming back or not? I will appreciate your responses.

Td;lr: we've lost a cat in the street, she is always scared of everything and hard to catch, what can we do?

Thank you
