our terrier dog has always been a whiner. she came from a background of a previous abusive owner. now with her approaching old age her whining has became non-stop. we believe she has anxiety/separation anxiety. she whines all the time. it is a piercing noise and it causes our family alot of stress and anxiety. in the early hours of the morning she howls a pitched noise and it prevents our family from sleeping. any advice on how to get our dog to calm down?
