So, about 5-6 months ago I let this girl move into my house. We’re not dating or anything, just renting her a room. She’s 24 I believe? So when we first met she told me about her cat and how nice he is etc etc etc. I love cats so I was totally cool with it. So fast forward to when she moves in. He will literally stand in front of my bedroom door and hiss at me. But like run away when I get closer. Anytime you come into contact, he’s hissing. But of course he’ll just run away. So about a month ago I guess he had enough of it and started coming up to me and letting me pet him. Hell even let me hold him. But the moment I put him down he hisses. So adding another factor to the story, she has a 4 year old who will NOT leave this poor cat alone. Constantly chasing him, picking him up horribly wrong, just being way too rough with him. So of course sometimes he tries to get away or whatever and will end up scratching her. Then obviously the girl (roommate) gets super pissed at him and puts him in his crate, downstairs, in this really small closet we have by the front door. In the dark. For 12 hours at a time. So like I’ll go to work at 7-8am and get home around 5 and he’s crying his head off in there. Sometimes I let him out and she gets super mad about it. She said she’s gonna get rid of him like a month ago, but doesn’t and just keeps locking him in there. I feel super bad for this cat that clearly already has a lot of issues.
