I want to adopt a cat when the pandemic is over. I’m a college kid (18F) and I have my own flat, so I think I’ll be alright taking care of it.
But every year I spend my college breaks at my parents’ house, in a small town at the countryside, which makes about 4 months a year away from my flat.
Would it be alright to travel and take the cat to a new environment 4 months a year? Would the cat be too stressed in a new house? Also, there’s no way of keeping the cat indoors at my parents’ house because the garden is too big and the neighbours’ cats always show up.
Do you think it would be irresponsible to adopt a cat in those conditions?
