I'm considering adopting two cats from a local woman. The cats belong to the woman's friend, who recently passed away. Theyre a mother and son, 4 and 3 years old, and have super sweet personalities so it sounds like they would be a great fit for me and my boyfriend as we are moving into our new apartment soon. The only issue is that the cats enjoy being outdoors, and they meow quite a bit when they want to go outside. The woman would let the cats sit on her patio, however my new apartment doesn't have an outdoor area. I would likely attempt to walk them on leashes so that they can safely spend time outside. I'm not sure if this is will work as I've heard that it can be difficult to get an adult cat used to walking on a leash. The only alternative to that would be to just keep them inside permanently. I would hate to have to rehome them if it became an issue, so I was wondering if anybody had advice about walking their cats or if it would be a good idea.
