I have two cats that have eaten twice daily for most of their lives. Recently, I’ve been reading a lot about how it’s better for cats to free feed as it mimics their natural eating patterns more. I’ve also been told that they can learn to self regulate. Is this accurate? And if so, how can I transition my cats to this? They mainly eat twice a day because as kittens they’d overeat.
