Cat won’t stop meowing at night because he wants to be let out of my room—ideas on how to make him knock it off?

My 1.5 year old cat and I are staying with my aunt and uncle (and their dog and cat) for a couple weeks. Before this, he was allowed outside during the day (not my choice.) but at least for the next couple weeks he is exclusively indoors, so he has a lot of excess energy.

My cat likes to play sometimes too roughly with their cat, I don’t trust him with the dog yet, and he likes to swat at their plants and jump on the counters, so he has to stay in my room at night with me while he’s unsupervised.

He has all of his things in my room, and I give him wet food for dinner when I bring him in for the night. This is accompanied by playing with him for as long as he’ll play in hopes that it will tire him out. It never does, he just gets bored of playing. As soon as I’m not giving him 100% of my attention, he sits by the door and meows and scratches it because he wants out, and uninterrupted he will sit there meowing and scratching for literally hours before giving up. He is the most annoying cat I have ever met, as he continues his meowing and scratching every fucking morning at 5 am.

I try to keep him awake during the day, he just gets angry at me for trying to wake him up. It takes 10 minutes of annoying him before he’ll open his eyes for 2 minutes to get mad at me, and then he goes right back to sleep. When he is awake during the day, I try to keep him active and play with him, but he doesn’t like the dog so he doesn’t usually want to go too far from the bedroom when the dog’s awake. Whenever I do play with him, it doesn’t accomplish tiring him out for long because he just naps right afterward.

Does anybody have advice on how to make him stfu? He is never quiet and honestly I am losing my fucking mind because of him.
