How to regain my pigeon's trust after my mom broke it?

Hello, firstly I don't have much knowledge about birds although I owned pigeons before. I bought two fan tail pigeons about a week and a half ago. I managed to gain their trust pretty well by respecting their boundaries and such until eventually one of them let them touch it. Unfortunately I was hospitalised for three days and my mom took care of the pigeons. She loves animals a lot but she has no clue how pigeons work. She forcefully caught them to pet them and look at them. Now when I returned they are scared of me touching them and are in obvious distress when any human approaches them. Things have gotten a little better since I got back and tried to bound with them again but there's still much work to do. Any tip to make friends with them again? Should I give them more treats? (Altough they're pretty afraid to take them) Should I just give it time and do nothing special? Thank you in advance
