Like the title says, my oldest cat (10 years) is fairly overweight, approximately 15 or so pounds when he should be 10ish. My second (4 years) is around 5 pounds and has always been a little underweight since we got her. At my vet's suggestion, I began giving the younger one a kitten formula to get her calories up and I started feeding them separately several months ago, with fatty on the floor and my smaller one on top of the dryer, because at the time my other's weight and age kept him from getting up to her food bowl. The problem now is that my oldest has lost enough weight to not be in his target range, but enough to now get up to the dryer where he will GORGE himself.
I've tried to just give my youngest set times to eat before I pick the food up out of reach, but she's such a nibbler I'm afraid she won't get what she needs even if I put it down for her a few times a day. I'm limited on spaces I can feed our youngest as well, as since she was young she's had an affinity for peeing on cloth like beds and blankets (she's been checked by the vet and she's fine physically, just not a habit we've been able to break since adopting her) so I can't just feed her in the bedroom shut away.
Are there any ideas or products anyone can suggest? I just want my two to be healthy and happy in the long run.
