I'm visiting my mom and found out they have found a sick kitten. They are thinking about killing her because they don't believe she will get better.

Hey.

So basically the title. I'm seriously thinking about taking her with me. They may tell me now that they won't kill her but what if I leave and they do it. She's super small and while she only eats from syringes she eats regularly. Her eyes are very badly infected and of them has some white stuff sticking out and I don't know if it isn't a part of her eye. Mom says she can't afford to take her to the vet but we have an antibiotic for those eyes. Vets over here are super expensive and tbh it would kinda hurt my wallet too but I could take her to the vet at the city I live. I want to give her a chance to get better.

But I'm afraid that the fact that I live alone and work 12 hour shifts at the hospital will be a big problem. Also I do have a adult cat already but she's super friendly and I can separate them easily when I'm at work. But this would mean I can't feed her for 12 hours and I'm not sure if she will learn to eat alone if I just leave her a small bowl with cat milk.

Any advice or opinion would be highly appreciated. Even now she's sleeping wrapped in a towel next to me and purring. She definitely has a strong will to live even though she looks very badly.
