My neighbors cat has been coming over for a while.
It first started with her hunting down mices for 3/4 weeks. Then it started to her coming over and sleeping over for a few hours.
Bringing a dead bird into the house and etc. So a free cat in other words.
I have known my neighbors since I was a child and in primary school because me and their daughter went to the same school ages 5-16. I have never really been friends with her.
Well, today I woke up and the cat was sitting near these bins which contained dead leaves and grasses from a garden clean up. We couldn’t understand why she was sitting there since it’s really cold.
She’s sleeping there now.
Except when my mum went closer she said she saw fleas on her collar.
She’s not our cat, but for 2/3 months she has been in and out of our house everyday.
The cat is not allowed back in until the fleas are cured, but at the same time she isn’t our cat.
I know the best bet is to tell the owners, but we don’t get along with them.
Is there any way to treat her fleas without it spreading too fast and no pill intake or harsh shampoo chemicals?
Edit: the cat may be around 4/5 years old. Around 100-130cm in length.
