One or two kittens?

I never had cats as pets before. My husband had 3 when he was young.

We both really want to adopt a kitten but my husband insists we adopt 2 so they remain social and won’t feel lonely. The problem is, we live in a small junior 1 bedroom apartment and thanks to COVID and wfh situations, we have our computers setup in the living room. So there is lesser space and we have tons of wires going around.

I would love to adopt one kitten since I think it will be a learning experience. I think 2 will be a lot in our apartment.

Can owners of cat(s) share their experience if it is really that lonely for one cat? Any other suggestions?

Thank you!
