Okay so I recently bought two ducks that are 4 weeks old, they do not have all their feathers yet and I was told they could live outside. It’s been about 85 degrees outside but they are in a pen with plenty of water to dip their face, body, and feet in and are also in the shade at all times. However, today they kept opening and closing their mouth(looked like panting to me) so I’ve been changing and filling their water all day and sprinkling water on them but it doesn’t seem like that lasted very long. I was told they like warm weather and are fine, how ever I am very worried and am not sure what to do to cool them off or if I have been lied to about them being able to be outside in the heat. Any advice or information would be extremely helpful!! Also, I’m not the biggest duck expert so any advice on raising heathy ducks is also extremely welcomed.
