Should I adopt a 4 month old kitten or one month old kitten?

I know you should only adopt a kitten when it's three months old so we can separate from their mothers but I'm going to an animal shelter and they have both very small and older kittens(which were already abandoned unfortunately).

Ik one month kitten needs a lot more love, care and patience. But the younger the kitten the easier time it would have to socialize with you and the family right? They're easier to guide some behaviours to than older kitten.
