I've had a cat for 4 years and for most of that time he's been an outdoor/indoor cat. I've been trying to slowly get him used to going outside only with a harness. Indoors he cries every so often throughout the day and we just ignore him. I just took him out to the backyard (4th time going out with harness) and I could not pick him up at all. He would scratch and bite and actually drew a bit of blood.
I had no other choice but to just force him to go back inside by pulling on the lease. I'm not sure whats the best course of action as of now. Should I just make him go cold turkey on outside until he gets used to it?
