My dog got hit by a car last month and thankfully survived and came out with some scrapes and cuts one of which on his tail and as the days went on all the other scrapes healed besides the one on his tail which started spreading (?) Around his tail so we put some medicine on it and wrapped it up then a week before christmas his tail just fell off so we applied antibiotic ointment to it and wrapped it up thinking it was an infection but now its spreading further up his tail and i dont know what to do any suggestions?
