Male cats are more affectionate than females

I adopted my females cat around 2 years ago when she was about 4 months old. She is so so sweet and innocent and has never once hissed or scratched me or any guest I have ever had over. However she comes up to me maybe a few times a day, and never ever sleeps next to me. She will panic if I hold her for more than a few seconds and will only like to be pet for a few seconds at most

I adopted a male cat (of about the same age) a couple weeks ago. He started curling up next to me on the couch the very first day I got him and although he's a bit more rambunctious, he will come up to me far more (especially when I walk nearby) and begs for scratches and to be held.

Studies and anecdotal evidence make this pretty clear. I don't know why people still deny it.
