Does anyone else have issues with these treats? I brought my 6 month old cat home on the 30th of December and we co existed very nicely. She’s a super sweet and wonderful cat. However 2 days ago I decided to give her treats. Her previous owners gave me temptations cat treats when they gave her to me and I wanted to give her positive reinforcement for using her scratching post for the first time. So 2 days ago and yesterday I gave her 3 treats... that was my mistake... she went nuts. She only slept a few hours in the evening and morning and had zoomies for a the day and all night long. I played with her multiple times to try to get her tired out but she just still kept going. She was also ignoring her cat tree trying to climb curtains and window screens screens, pouching at my tv even if it was off, pouching and clinging to our legs and biting, play attacking our hands and feet and pouncing and and she also ran and pounced on my husbands gaming PC almost breaking it and smashing into the monitor almost knocking it down. Last night when I told my friend she asked me if I gave her temptations treats because she said that her cat gets really hyper when she gives her those treats so she stopping giving them to her. So today I did an experiment and didn’t give her any temptations treats and she wasn’t Destructive at all. We had 3 play season of 15-20 mins and she went to sleep and played with her toys. She also zoomies for about an hour and ran from the couch to her cat tree and came to us for love and pets which she didn’t do that past 2 days. Does anyone else cat goes nuts when given these treats or is it just mine and my friends cat? Im definitely not gonna feed her these and instead give her natural cat treats because her destructiveness is dangerous and I fear of her hurting herself.
