Hi, I’m a little worried that I might be considered an animal hoarder. Recently, I bought a ball python from my local pet store, I love the snake, she’s really interesting to watch and I enjoy handling her. Problem is, she goes on hunger strikes often, and for a long time. I also have two rats that I breed for the snake, so I can stop wasting money on food she won’t potentially eat. I find rats to be under-appreciated, they’re really cool, and I do treat them as pets ofc, I hold them all the time, and they’re very healthy. However, because I have to freeze the feeder rats, they can only be frozen for so long before they go to waste. So now I need something else that can eat rodents. And the pixie frog came into play. I love frogs, so I figured why not get one, it’ll solve my rat surplus problem too, and I’ll of course feed it other items. But here’s the big one, I do own an Italian mastiff. She’s my best friend... animal wise. I suffer with OCD, the self harming kind, and the dog really helped with that, so I do hold an ESA letter. I’m in high school, and because the dog is quite literally needed for me, my dad is paying for most of its vet bills in the mean time, and possibly throughout college. Would I be considered an animal hoarder with all these pets? Just curious.
