I don’t want to rehome cat but I want what’s best for her

I adopted a 3 year old cat a few months ago and she’s the sweetest and most affectionate cat ever. I adore her so much but she really does not get along with her other cat and would usually chase our out of the room so our other cat just hides all day and only feels comfortable in my sisters room. We tried to gradually introduce them a few times and also our vet gave us anxiety supplements for both of them to take to ease the transition. There were about 5 instances where my newly adopted cat acted aggressively towards me, most of the triggers are from seeing our other cat but sometimes it does not seem like there is a trigger. When she is aggressive she usually tries to make eye contact with me and will circle me and block me from exiting the room before she would attack and scratch my legs. These experiences were pretty scary and made me not trust her as much. I thought that rehoming her could be the best decision for both of our cats but now I have interviews scheduled with potential adopters, I feel really sad and don’t want to give her up because I’ve gotten really attached to her. I’m not sure what is the best course of action but would love to hear any input.

TLDR; new cat does not get along with resident kitty which has caused new cat to be aggressive towards me and for resident kitty to hide and be scared all the time
