My blind cat still looks at me and slow blinks. Does it mean the same as if an able sighted cat was doing it?

I know it can mean a sign of affection but I notice my cat who will be looking at me except he has no eyes, so really looking towards me, does this slow blink at me maybe once or twice a day

I’m his mom in his eyes. He follows me around 24/7 like quite literally. We rescued him off the street when he was a kitten and was dying. If I get up to get some water he is right next to me, if I go anywhere he is 99.9% of the time by my side and if he isn’t he is near me within a foot or two sleeping. He doesn’t take much notice of my husband or my child. So I hope he is telling me he loves me?
