Just rescued a kitten off the street with a broken leg. Took her to a vet who x-rayed it and put a splint on it, now she's home with me. Vet estimated she's 6 weeks old. Kept her separate from my cat for the first couple of days cause she had fleas (I got her the flea medication at the vet but wanted to wait for it to kick in). My cat is a 13 year old male cat, who has been neutered (also a rescue from an abusive home so I've only had him for a year) - kitten who has hidden in a box until today crawled out of her cage (large and she has her own separate litterbox and food bowls) -she tried to follow my male cate around like maybe she thinks he's her mom or something? He didn't seem too happy about it and walked away from her but she hobbled after him. I'm just very confused right now and not sure how to proceed. I'm trying my best and will do what's necessary so friendly advice appreciated.
