Having so much anxiety over my dog's recent seizures.

My 6 years old lab over the weekend had a seizure and we were able to find a emergency vet about an hour away. We walked in on her foaming at the mouth and on her side twitching. It was horrible and she had seizure after seizure for nearly 24 hours before she finally came to and awoke from it. We were actually on our way back to the vet to have her put to sleep because the vet recommended it and said there was nothing else they could do, but she thankfully started to improve right before we got there. So she's home now, and she's on about 3 medications. The earliest I could get an appointment with our local vet is Friday. I have no idea what caused this and I think that's what's scaring me most. Not to mention, she obviously isn't herself right now. She walks very uncoordinated and is generally very anxious. However, she recognizes everyone so I am very happy about that. I just having a difficult time even sleeping right now and am afraid something's going to happen to her while I'm asleep and I won't be able to make it to the vet in time. I'm so hoping Friday I can get some answers as to what caused this.

I don't know if there really is a point to this, but I just wanted to see if anyone experienced anything similar and if you had any advice?
