My dog is a mix of the following breeds according to Embark:
German shepherd, Rottweiler, Cocker spaniel, Lab, Siberian Husky, Brittany Spaniel
She basically looks like a black German shepherd or black Belgian malinois since she is pretty small for having big breeds in her, she weighs 60 pounds and is about to be 8 years old.
Every winter she becomes very itchy and will not stop picking/scratching at herself. I've searched and come across a few articles that suggests dogs can have winter allergies yet everytime I ask a veterinarian they tell me that such allergies do not exist in dogs..
This seems to get worse every year as she gets older and I've tried those oils that you add to her food which doesn't seem to quite do the trick.
Has anyone had any luck with a specific product or anything that can help her really dry skin?
I live in Ontario, Canada.
