My husband and I adopted a 9 month old Pitbull Terrier a little over a month ago and things are going great. He has really become part of the family. I wish I could get him to sleep with us at bedtime though. Every night we have tried to let him come to bed with us and he always wants to rough house in the bed. We tell him to calm down and it's bedtime but he seems to settle down for a minute or two and then try to rough house again. We have been having him sleep in his kennel at night because of this.
Does anyone have any tips to get him to associate bed with bedtime? Or is this a normal dog thing?
