Before you think I belong on r/dogfree, this question comes from a place of genuine curiosity. Why do dogs bark endlessly when being kept in a kennel? My mom keeps dogs and this dog we’re keeping now literally barks from the time you put her in the kennel until the time you let her out, no matter what you do/say. It’s not a kennel with a cement floor and that’s it, it has like a bed and blankets and toys in it and it’s plenty big enough for it so it’s not that they’re uncomfortable. I don’t understand why this is a thing. Wouldn’t they learn after barking for 4 hours straight (since I’m at class and my parents are at work) that barking isnt going to help them?
