Hello,
I was allergic to cats, as in sneezing and itchy eyes only. Got a cat 12 years ago, first week was rough but I developed immunity to the allergy since then.
Two days ago I pet my cat as usual and noticed my hand had swollen. I never experienced any kind of skin allergy before. I let it slide and today gave my cat a kiss behind the ears (something I have been doing for years without a problem) and my upper lip is all swollen now.
I tried to pet my cat in all possible places and ways to see if I could pinpoint the problem, but had no reaction again whatsoever.
Could it be some specific area that is giving me that reaction? If so I dunno how it just started to happen now.
Another possibility I can think of is maybe some flea or such but I didn't notice any bite on my skin neither coudl find any on my cat.
Has anyone experienced something similar to this before??
EDIT: I have also been fighting against a flu this week, maybe my body was weak and reacted to it?
