I read that an aquarium with filtration is a must for keeping a betta fish. I wonder why it is not acceptable to keep them in large bowls (~10 gallons) and changing 50+% of the water daily. One thing is I would like to reduce electricity usage as my (old) apartment as very few outlets. Thanks for clarifying!
