Ok, so my cat was sitting on my lap this morning and pawed at my ear which resulted in his claw going through my earring hole (I haven't cut them in a few weeks, so they're pretty long.) It didn't hurt, but I flipped out and screamed. My cat was surprisingly calm though (despite my terrified reaction,) and so i was able to easily remove his claw from my ear lobe. I don't even have gauges, so it's just a regular ol' earring slit. It didn't hurt at first, but after a few minutes it started stinging just a little bit, and it's been about 12 hours. He's an indoors-only cat, but I don't know if i should still be concerned about infections or something. I tried googling it but I couldn't find anything 🤷♀️
